Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary

This entry-level position requires excellent writing and editing skills and an ability to work with many different client personalities. Familiarity with all traditional media vehicles and a solid understanding of digital and social media are essential.

Duties

This position will effectively and efficiently perform essential account management, projects and tasks requested by the supervisor.

A successful candidate must be able to perform satisfactorily the functions listed below. 

  • Regularly create & post content and scheduling for a variety of social media clients
  • Author digital audits
  • Author and design newsletters and promotional emails for clients
  • Build and edit websites using WordPress, Wix and other common platforms
  • Place broadcast and print media
  • Authoring press releases, blogs and other documents
  • Other duties as assigned

Hours of Work

Monday – Friday 8 am- 5 pm

Occasionally, an evening or weekend project may be required, but comp time is given in those instances.

Qualifications required:

  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook in the MS Office Suite
  • Must be willing to be trained on social media tools such as video editing and graphics arts programs, e.g., Canva, Animatron, etc.
  • College graduate with an emphasis in Public Relations, Journalism or Business Management preferred but will accept years of experience as well
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a valid insurance card
  • Two years of digital or social media experience preferred
